Sing.
Just Sing.
That’s all I want.
That’s all I need.
A child opens his mouth and beauty emerges
For a man he must overcome all of life’s hurdles
Before the sound can form
And his song can be sung
If it wasn’t for this worm
Of tension he calls a tongue.
Too dark, too heavy.
Too controlled, no breath.
I must not be breathing right,
Yeah, that’s why it’s so tight.
Nature gave me a gift
And I gave it back.
Maybe a child will be given what I lack.
The future is a dream
For everyone but me.
I’d give up my sight
If I could remember how to breathe.
